THE BAND

Jack Cochrane fronts the Scottish four piece on Vocals & Guitar, With Joe McGillveray on Lead Guitar, Callum Wilson on Bass & Jordan Mackay on Drums..

WHO

The Snuts are a Scottish indie rock band formed in 2015, originating from West Lothian, Scotland. They have performed across the United Kingdom and Ireland.The band have been together since their school days..

Wilson has said "We've only ever really played music together so I can't really imagine it any other way". They have been influenced by the likes of the Libertines and Arctic Monkeys, and Scottish Ned culture growing up. They have also said that "one of our biggest inspirations is not to sound exactly like everybody else".

Before going full time as a band, Cochrane was a joiner, Wilson was a slater/roofer, Mackay was a mechanic and McGillveray got qualifications to be a stonemason. The perfect group for building houses.. But trust us these boys can bring the house down anywhere, and right now are doing exactly that across the UK and Ireland.

EP'S & GIGS

After releasing the Ep's The Matador (2017) & Mixtapes (2020) the band had a great time touring with notable highlights playing back to back TRNSMT Festivals. On the legendary venue King Tut's Stage..  Things really took off for the band as Parlaphone Records came knocking at their door.. 

So after playing South by South West the band returned to TRNSMT to this time play the main stage.. Further night at Reading & Leeds made for some amazing festival experiences for them and the fans..

The band also supported one of their inspirations The Libertines at a socially-distanced performance at the Virgin Money Unity Arena in Newcastle. Plus nailing the FIFA Playlist with their track "That's All It Is".. 

THE ALBUM ARRIVED

Their debut studio album was released in April last year.. WL which features four unreleased bonus tracks which is always nice for us mere mortals.. It hit the UK Album Charts at No:1 which is some achievement.. 

Now there really is only one way to truly assess a band and that is Live.. For all of us who own numerous Live Albums and use them as a go to most days to be honest.. BURN THE EMPIRE

In even better news their second album 'Burn The Empire' is out on the 30th September which is of course the reasoning behind this InProfile post.. The Snuts are also on tour right now in Europe.. But will hit UK shores on the 1st October starting in Manchester before journeying through England, Scotland & Ireland winding up at the latter in Dublin on the 16th November..

If you can catch them I would but the future is looking very bright for the lads..
