What's Happening..?

The War On Drugs are currently getting ready to tour the UK on the back of their new album which has reached No 6 in the UK charts. We are going to feature the latest release from the album, which is the title track I Don't Live Here Anymore. The song featuring New York band Lucius on backing vocals continues in true TWOD fashion. That smooth calming wave of guitars and synths and the Dylan-esque vocals just carries you on that magical journey. This is the bands 5th album release..

Who Are The War On Drugs..?

The band were formed in Philadelphia in 2005 by Adam Granduciel and Kurt Vile. Just after the release of their debut album Wagonwheel Blues in 2008 Vile left the band and has had a very successful career as a solo artist.

The band continued to work together releasing EP's and another album. Yet they had to wait until 2014 and their third album Lost In The Dream which propelled them into the spotlight. With the amazing Under The Pressure one of the standout tracks on the album. Their most successful release followed. The album A Deeper Understanding (2017) was by far their best seller and reached No.10 in the US and No.3 in the UK album charts.
